The Taliban, Obama’s Would-Be Peace Partners, Execute Pregnant Woman Under Sharia (Islamic Law)

From Atlas Shrugs!
Obama is actively trying to negotiate a surrender (under the Orwellian moniker of “peace’) with the violent jihadists in Afghanistan (and Gaza and Lebanon and Philippines and Kenya and Nigeria and Iran, et al). Obama’s strategy for winning the war in Afghanistan: surrender. He is peace-partnering with the Taliban. Back in November, Obama surrendered six provinces to the Taliban in a sniveling attempt at appeasement. Needless to say, the Taliban said no.

Later that month, an Afghan source in Kabul reported that U.S. Ambassador in Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry was holding secret talks with the Taliban, headed by the movement’s foreign minister, Ahmad Mutawakil. The U.S. offered the Taliban control of the Kandahar, Helmand, Oruzgan, Kunar and Nuristan provinces in return for a halt to the Taliban missile attacks on U.S. bases.

Taliban Execute Pregnant Woman (hat tip Kenneth S)

The Taliban publicly flogged and then executed a pregnant Afghan widow by emptying three shots into her head for alleged adultery.

Bibi Sanubar, 35, was kept in captivity for three days before she was shot dead in a public trial on Sunday by a local Taliban commander in the Qadis district of the rural western province Badghis.

The Taliban accused Sanubar of having an “illicit affair” that left her pregnant. She was first punished with 200 lashes in public before being shot, deputy provincial police chief Ghulam Mohammad Sayeedi told AFP on Monday.

We seek broader engagement based on mutual interest and mutual respect. We will listen carefully, we will bridge misunderstandings, and we will seek common ground. We will be respectful, even when we do not agree………. Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America, addressing The Parliament of Turkey, 6 April 2009.
